Placecard Text Messaging Terms

These terms describe the text messages Placecard sends: who sends them, what they say, how often they come, and how to stop them. They are part of our Terms of Service, whose section 26 describes the same program. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle phone numbers.

1. Who sends the texts

Placecard is software that hosts use to run an event: the guest list, the seating, the guest page and the photo album. Placecard LLC sends album texts from +1 (844) 347-8369 to guests who ask for them. Each album text starts with "Placecard" and names the event. Replies to the keywords in section 5 start with "Placecard" but name no event, and your carrier may add its own notice when you opt out or back in.

2. The texts we send

Confirmation: one text when you ask, saying you are set to get the album, with its link.
Album link: one text when the event's photo album opens, with its link.

Album texts are informational. They never carry advertising, and Placecard never texts you about its own products.

After your first photo uploads on an event's camera page, an optional sheet offers album texts. You may type a US or Canadian mobile number, check the unchecked box labeled "Text me my album link" over "Placecard sends one confirmation text and one text with a link to the event's photo album when it opens. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.", and tap "Send"; or tap "Not now" and copy the album link instead. The box is optional and nothing is sent without it. The album never requires a phone number.

4. How often

Up to 2 texts per event: the confirmation and the album link. If the album is already open when you ask, the confirmation carries the link and is the only text. A reply to one of the keywords in section 5 comes only when you send it.

5. Stopping texts and getting help

To stop: reply STOP to any album text. We send one text confirming that you have opted out. After STOP, we send no further album texts to that number unless you reply START before your album text goes out. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT also stop texts from this number.
To start again: reply START or UNSTOP.

6. Cost and carriers

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier sets them. Album texts go to US and Canadian mobile numbers only.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Your number and your privacy

We use your number only to send the texts these terms describe. Our text-message provider, Telnyx, delivers them. We keep the number for 30 days from when you give it, or less if the event's media is deleted or the host removes you from the guest list.

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. That includes your number and the record that you agreed to get texts.
